Update on T.I.

*Kanye Shrug*

Here is the Article via http://www.nydailynews.com/:

Superstar rapper T.I. is facing serious jail time if a judge revokes his federal gun case probation next week because of a drug bust.
A probation officer is asking for eight to 14 months, though T.I.'s lawyers claim the guidelines call for no more than five to 11 months, say court documents filed Friday.
The recording artist and his new bride, Tameka Cottle, were pulled over Sept. 1 after his Maybach allegedly made an illegal U-turn on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles with "a strong odor of marijuana" wafting from the vehicle.
Officers found Ecstasy pills and arrested the couple on suspicion of felony drug possession.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, also had codeine and marijuana and tested positive for opiates, his probation officer stated in a petition.
He's on three years supervised probation after a recent seven-month stretch in Arkansas federal prison for buying unregistered machine guns and silencers.
In the memorandum filed Friday, T.I.'s lawyer said the probation officer erred in asking for eight to 14 months because those are the guidelines for for violent career criminals.
The lawyers say that shouldn't apply to T.I. because his prior conviction for assaulting a Florida police detective does not qualify as a "violent felony."

Chris Brown - Deuces (Remix) (feat. Drake, Kanye West and Andre ...

I like to think of the "Original" Deuces Remix as the Deuces Cypher because even though it had a few hot verses, there was virtually no Chris Brown. The track was cut down by dropping T.I. and Fab's verses, keeping the crowd favorites (Drizzy, Kanye, and 3 Stacks). Chris Breezy's original first verse is there, but after the trending topic took over Twitter last week, I think he should've recorded a new verse.

Enjoy!

Bun B for President!

Admittedly, I slept on Bun B for a while, but he is honestly one of the most talented rappers from the South. This is footage from Billboard's Tastemaker series:

Iron Solomon: Toca Tuesdays freestyle

Starting the day off with a new Freestyle from Iron Solomon. I've been following this cat since his "Fight Klub" days. I actually didn't like him at first cause he beat one of my favorite battle emcees, Jin (Shoutout to 106 and Park) but his talent is undenyable.

My Ode to Hip Hop

Wrote this back in highschool, and I lost ALL evidence of the original. I've been trying to recall the whole poem from memory since Friday, and after a drink or two, it finally hit me yesterday:

Is it strange that I call you my Hip Hop?
Strange was not my intention,
I’ve only witnessesd your transition
From that B-Boy stance on the party scene
To that “thug” on the block with that gangsta lean
And if I have to give it all away, I wouldn’t decline
Just you hear that bass line thump one more time

Hip Hop…

I’ve watched you extol the inspiration
To move generations
Of different faces and races
Closer to making Changes with strangers
That you could just

Connect

The way the needle connects with the vinyl,
The way my pen connect with paper
The way I connect with

You

I can’t help the fact
That I just want to lie back and be
Overwhelmed by your stroke
Of pure genius

I want to make the rearview shake
I want to make the seats vibrate
And if you let me,
I want to create a whole ‘nother melody with you

Getting lost in your synths
Up and down between proving claims
Of me scream your name
Though the forms have changed
You’re still one in the same

Just to wake up again
With my head on your chest
As we rest
Listening to your bass line thump
One
More
Time

Because

I am in love with the music
I am in love with Hip Hop
I am in love with You

New J. Cole: Relaxation

I am LOVING the direction that Hip Hop is going in. I heard this J. Cole song in the background of one of his Ustreams a few weeks back, and I knew I'd love it. The track features Fashawn (who we should all be on the lookout for) and Omen, who came hard on the track as well:

New Drake: I Get Lonely Too

Got a hold of Drake's new track this morning. He covered TLC's titletrack from "Fanmail," and of course, his engineer 40 added his little flair to it. Enjoy :-)
